So, team STRQ was totally that group of people who initially hated and insulted each other every minute of the day, but when they grew to be friends turned those old insults into playful banter/borderline endearments, aren’t they?

summer was the best of the team AND a brat? finally some good food. give me summer that was packing all the brain cells and bragged about it. loves her team to death but won’t hesitate to call them little shits. just imagine her helping her team with homework. tai asks her for help on the same grimm studies question 4 times in a row and she’s like “tai its okay to admit you have no brain in that head of yours you can be honest with your team leader :)”

So Qrow’s miniature story reveals two critical things: 

A. Summer was on that last mission alone 

B. No one knows what happened to her.

We already had Raven,Qrow and Taiyang in the post credit scenes. So…maybe the next will be Summer?

Team RWBY as a reflection of Team STRQ

Blake is Raven. The one who ran away and abandoned her team.

Yang is Taiyang, the one who was broken and gave up

Weiss is Qrow, the one who went it alone, at great personal cost.

Ruby is Summer, the one who never came home.

Yang chose to not give up, Weiss chose to not go it alone, Blake will return to her team, and Ruby will come home in the end, and unlike their predecessors, their team will remain united.

All right, now we NEED that STRQ flashback. Like, what if they pull a Bungou Stray Dogs and start off next volume with it and we get half STRQ and the next half is back to the present. And in the epilogue we get the start of it, like, we get a shot of someone looking at a photo or somethig and someone calls “Hey, Summer, you coming or what?” and there’s a shot of Summer turning and saying something like “You guys head forward, I’ll be right there” (subtle foreshadowing of her demiseTM). She then throws one last glance to the picture and then leaves it on a table or desk or something and then goes out the door. The final shot is an older picture of team STRQ, that shows them group hugging and being all cheerful, completely unsuspecting of how it will all go down in flames.
