I like that line for some reason. It feels like It’s the oath for the Silver Eyed Warriors and Maria is passing down that idea to Ruby.

Yo I swear if we get a flashback scene next episode to a young Maria when she still had her Silver eyes and we see SUMMER ROSE

“Well isn’t it obvious girl? I had silver eyes.”

So it looked like Oz’s kids, from his second family that we saw, had silver eyes.  I compared it them to Ruby’s eyes from the same scene

And they look like a match. To make sure, I dropped the images in sai and used the color picker to compare them. I also dropped in Mercury’s eye color to make sure, since we know that his are gray and not silver. And it definitely looks like they have silver eyes. From left to right, the eye colors are Ruby, Ozpin’s child, and Mercury.

Based on this I’m pretty sure those kids had silver eyes!

As a side note, if silver eyes are hereditary, then there’s the added possibility that Ruby might be related to a past reincarnation of Ozpin

In the intro we get a close up shot of Maria Calavera (that’s her name according to the credits of 6x01) and the glasses that cover her eyes and hide her eye colour.

Then we see Ruby’s reflection in Maria’s glasses. 

The camera zooms in on Ruby and her silver eyes. 

So does that mean that Maria has silver eyes? Or that she will teach Ruby about he silver eyes? Because the focus on those two characters and especially their eyes here really got me curious.
